E85 Carb?
I have been wondering if E85 can help gain performance on my engine? I have a 355 with about 9.6:1 compression. Is it possible to run it on my motor with that low of compression? I understand that a correct carb tuned for E85 would be best. Would this kit work for a Holley 4150 carb?

Do i have to replace anything else in the fuel system like lines?
Any information would be greatly appreciated! Thanx kevin

You might see a slight gain, but to fully take advantage of it, you'd need more like 11.5-12:1 CR.
That's the kit I used. I wasn't too happy that they drilled the PV restrictions rather than using screw-in restrictors. Both blocks have PV drilled, I ended up plugging the secondary side. Made a big difference vs. trying to jet up a stock carb, especially with idle.
I already had a Proform main body when I converted to E85, added those metering blocks, stainless needle/seat, and an alcohol throttle plate.
By the time I got done, I was about $50 away from their full E85 carb (which has float bowl sight windows instead of plugs). Do you already have the Holley? If not, just get a complete carb.
