i got a 305 out of a 86 camaro that was originaly tpi. the guy i got ifrom removed the tpi stuff and had a intake and carb on it. i have the engine mounted in the car but nothing is hooked up yet. my question is did all of these engines have the lobe on the cam for a fuel pump rod? thanks

also the engine is stock besided the intake.

 

86 should still have the lobe on the cam for the fuel pump. Around 1990 is when that got dicey.

I have a cam out of an 87 L98 and it's got the fuel pump lobe on it. Have another cam out of a 91 and it's got no lobe.
