Bout to switch to carb, is there a direct replacement fuel pump?

I got an 88 base Camaro with an lo3, and I'm about to swap to a carbbed 383. Is there a direct fit replacement fuel pump I could buy to take care of the fuel pressure needs of the carb or is some sort of a regulator my only option?

PO cut a square in my trunk above my fuel pump so changing it is zero problem.

Thanks for any tips!

Just use a mallory 4309. That's what most guys use. Very nice piece. Otherwise you can go to a mechanical pump and make a pickup for it. There used to be a sticky on it... I think. Do a search if there's not.

Otherwise, there are some nice benefits to a switched electric pump. I can check float levels, check for leaks, diagnose a few things here and there without having to fire up the car. I had a problem with primary's floats getting stuck for a little while and flooding the motor, so I could just switch off the pump and run the level down for like 30 seconds and switch it back on and back off etc. Annoying, but it got me where I needed to go til I could take care of it.
