Choosing a Carb
Okay so I have a 305 H.O. 4bbl. I am putting on aftermarket cylinder heads, have the edelbrock intake and am putting in an aftermarket cam, should I keep the stock carb or go with an aftermarket one? If I go with the aftermarket what should I put on?

Re: Choosing a Carb
is this gonna be your daily driver or a weekend toy car?
do u want vacuum or mechanical secdondaries?
a lil more specs on the intake cam and heads could help us.

Without knowing the specifics of the heads, cam, intake, and intended use, we can't make a recommendation.
The only street legal choice is the original carb (which is fine up to about 450 HP, depending upon the engine CID).

okay so right now it has the edelbrock intake, exhaust is done up, planning on putting on Dart Iron Eagle S/S Cylinder Heads and 'Xtreme Energy' Hydraulic Flat Tappet Camshaft

Re: Choosing a Carb
the stock carb can be made to work quite well for the street, like five7kid said
