fuel strainer
Any alternatives to the OE part # 5651702 or the AC Delco ACTS1000? (pictured below).
I'm ready to install my new tank and the carb application pickup I have is in need of a new strainer (I accidentaly mangled the one that was included with the pickup I got from a TGO member). 3-5 days for GM to ship here.

Re: fuel strainer
partsource.ca lists three part numbers.
Call and ask if any of them have the fitting at the end like you need for a carb application.

Re: fuel strainer
i went with this guy.

and here's the finished product:

my car is alot happier not sucking through a dead Lg4 helper pump...
...only thing that upset me was i had to add about 4 gallons before my fuel gauge started to register.

Re: fuel strainer
I can find plenty of the 90 degree type of strainer. They all seem to be for FI applications. The carbed strainer is inline. Whether it makes a difference or not I can't say other than GM designed it that way. It's the same part number for cars built in the 70's too. (I actually cross referenced the OE part number on Steves Nova Site.)
