Stuck...how does one remove the screws on the metering block? (pics inside)
Hey all,
I am gonna start my 4160 rebuild. I need to remove the metering block but the screws that hold it in have a weird head. I read somewhere that they are clutch head screws and that I need a 5/32" clutch head bit/screwdriver to get them out. Can anyone confirm this?
Thanks!
BN

I don't know, but that looks like it takes a special tool. But I would take an old POS screwdriver and make a tool out of it.

No need to make anything. THat's a quite common screw drive actually. Very easy to get the right tool for; there's only about 2 or 3 sizes of them, kind of like Phillips.
Its name is "clutch bit".

Thanks Sofa! You wouldn't happen to know the exact size of them of hand would you? Thanks!

Don't know. I have the right one but no markings on it.
A regular screwdriver of the appropriate blade size will get them out. That's what I used to use before I got the right tool.

As you can see they are DIRT CHEEEEP.
At less than $1 a bit, buy all 3.
Some things are not worth being "penny wise and pound foolish" over.

Thanks guys! Also found a link on a Holley forum that confirms my suspicions. That it is indeed 5/32.
