quick question. what is this part?
hey, what is the brass, or gold part that the float needle sits in (rochester quadrajet) it is round and it un screws. I rebuilt my carb and didn't count how many turns out it was, and i just cant get it to run right now. I can't find any info on this anywhere, does anyone know how many turns out it needs to be for a stock 305? all I am finding is "make sure when you take it out you count the amount of turns!" I didn't see that until AFTER it was already done
I can probably find a picture of it, but i dont know how to post pictures. any ideas?

Yes. The poor float would be closing of the needle against the seat, and fuel would be flowing around the threads.
There should be a gasket under it as well. https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/carb...e-rebuild.html , #55.

cool, thank you guys for your help, Im guessing I will also have to re adjust the float after I screw that in all the way, since I adjusted it before when I rebuilt it with in unscrewed a bit....Well, guess I'll go tear this thing apart one last time and see if I cant finally get this carb to work for me
