Is the smell somthing recent or has it been doing it for a while? Is it only inside the car or outside too?

Re: fumes smell question

maybe. once your car is warmed up the egr opens to lower the temp of exhaust preventing formation of really bad by products only produced under high temps. It does it by displacing some oxygen so that the burn stays within a lower temp/controlled range. Check your PVC valve too.

Re: fumes smell question

Pct its new and true that's what tha egr does so u think its creating some kind of bi-product that smells like that

Re: fumes smell question

not sure what an individual car will smell like but from a thousand cars or so it will create a smog cloud that hangs over a city on a hot day & that is hard to breathe
