Car Bogs, any speed, unless 2500+rpm
84 T/A, CC Qjet, automatic, moderatly built 355.
Been having a problem lately where when I acellerate, the car bogs, badly. Not just the normal quad-bog you get where it hesitates then takes off. Unless I feather the throttle, the car will die...even if I'm doing 30mph in town and want to go faster. the only way to prevent this is by shifting down manually to keep the RPM's up. Sometimes, it will catch and take off when i've got the pedal mashed, but 80% of the time, i'd say it will die if I let it by not feathering the throttle. any one have any thoughts on this?

Totally dead accelerator pump would be my first guess. LIke the rubber cup that seals the accelerator pump plunger to it's bore is totally shot and not allowing pressure to build below the pump piston (no accelerator pump shot).
Yank the air cleaner and look down the primary bores. Stroke the throttle and see if you can see 2 streams of gas squirting out against the primary boosters. If not, the accelerator pump has ceased to function.
