may have problem with intake

i am doing the tbi to carb swap and i bought the jegs brand intake i drilled out the four center holes but it still doesnt seam to line up right part of the intake is hitting the top of the head where the valve covers bolt on and leaves a gap on one side in between the gasket and intake and i also seen where it doesnt have a coolant passage on the back of the intake by the dizzy it is just blocked off no holes or anything shouldnt there be a coolant passage like on the tbi intake

No coolant passages in the back is normal.
