This may sound dumb, but there r 2 cables that run to my carb. I know one of the cables is for throttle, but what is the other one for?

Re: quick question

Either cruise control, or the TV cable to the trans.

Re: quick question

Depends on what transmission you have.

Since you're calling it a "kickdown cable", that must mean you have an automatic?

However, unless you have an older pre-3rd-gen transmission transplanted into the car such as a Turbo 350, it's not a "kickdown cable"; it's a "TV cable", as mentioned previously. (Throttle Valve)

Read the "TV 101 Article". Completely, from start to finish, comparing each part you see including the ones inside the trans, to the ones in your car. Come back if you have any further questions.
