getting quadrajet tuned better

Was wondering if anyone could shed some light on how to get my quadrajet to operate a little better.

Carb is new and computerized. 307 olds. I know where the adjustments are. just not what has to be made.

car starts okay, and idles. when i goto drive at first it will lurch and almost go to die, but then cathc itself. as soon as that is over it rides fine. at highway speeds it will run fine and then from time to time it will have a shutter. then smooth out.

how can i eliminate the shuttering and the lurching upon first drive?

Thanks for any help
