I am putting a 383 Stroker in my 87 GTA that was 350 TPI. I did not pick out a carb yet but i need a 750cfm to feed this motor. Should i find a throttle cable from an 86 carburated car? What carb to run? Lock up/throttle bracket ETC. Was wondering what you guys thought. any info to get me in the right direction.

Main thing is to get the tv cable adjusted correctly if that's with a mtg bracket, universal, or a system like tv made ez. That tv cable is used for line pressure.

If you plan on using the FI pump you will need a Mallory 4309 regulator (bypass style) to get it down to carb pressures.

If you are not using the oil safety switch you will need to replace it or wire the relay for the fuel pump to run. It will only run for 2 seconds otherwise.

*hydraulic roller*cam is a XFI 280 cam with spec of 230/236 Duration @ .050" and lift of
.570/.570 and a 113 LSA

 

A 750 double pumper would be my recommendation. I like AED and BG, but there are lots of good ones out there. The 750 Mighty Demon on my 350 runs real good, but it took some work to get there.
