Car: 74 Nova prostreet 87 Iroc Z28

Engine: 427 671 blower 350 Built

Transmission: 700R4 both

Axle/Gears: Dana 60 an a 323 posi.

Eletric Fuel Pump

I need some advice 87 z28 changed to carberator my question is can you leave the stock ele. pump in the tank an disconnect it an mount a different ele. carb. pump on the frame cut the lines from the stock pump and connect them to the new pump will it work . I know you can use a reg. an use the stock pump in tank. Thanks

IMHO
If the stock pump is good, I would get the Mallory return regulator
Or
Drop the tank & remove the stock pump & plumb the aftermarket pump as you desire
