Ok my elec. pump went out(it was a $45 one from autozone pushing 6psi). Ever since i got it i heard pulsing noise, it lost pressure if i hit the gas hard, it was just horrible.

My 91 RS is my DD, i need a pump fast, oreiley's has a better selection of elec. pumps, but should i shick with the brass colored cylinder pumps or switch to whats called a Rotary Vane pump??? Whats the difference? rotarys come in 6v and 12v, im low on budget too soo advice is needed.

P.s. Rotary vane pumps are $56

UPDATED INFO: When i lost pressure in my pump, i had to suck the gas line to get fuel to come out,(rigged a hand pump, gas tastes wierd lol) I believe it looses its prime? idk i'm reading different forums with people of the same prob, i just don't know what to do...
