Re: cc carb swap

if you are just driving it on the street it is likely better to fix your qjet. what are you going to be doing with it and what engine/trans/year? i personally would rather have a holley but you spend alot of money and time getting it right for only minimal racing performance gain. i have done it but i was only racing my car at the time

Why do you want to switch from the CC carb? It will run much better and get better economy as well as just as much power as a "standard" carb and will be cheaper to rebuild or fix than buying all the parts needed to do a swap over.

Re: cc carb swap

My daughter just recently bought the car. Its an 84 Z28 with a 5 speed and a warm over 350. On the trip home it was running rich and backfiring through the exhaust. We are currently in the middle of a transmission upgrade, 2nd an 4th were non functional in the T5. It will be a daily driver for her.

Re: cc carb swap

Just need a non-computer Q-jet and vacuum distributor.....Now you can play with the springs and weights and vac can to adjust timing.
