unstable throttle

Ok so i have a rebuilt carb by a professional. Well trusted so i know its not the carb. But my car drives great until it starts to warm up. Then it starts to feel like ita cutting out or suficating and idlea high. I noticed my water neck vacuum line broke. And one other vacuune libe thats one of the skinny plastix ones. Not sure where that one goes. Cause everything is hooked up on the carb. Do you guys think that is it?

It would be very helpful to know what engine, transmission, & carb you have, and any modifications from the factory configuration.

Sounds like the EFE thermal vacuum switch is what's broken.

Now is that the vacuum that runs off the top of the water neck? Ooor does if run off the vac lines that split into three in fron of the carb

Not sure what you're asking. The EFE TVS gets its vacuum from the carb, and sends it to the EFE valve until the coolant warms up. After the engine warms up, the TVS cuts off the vacuum and vents the EFE valve.

Ok on the top of my water neck ive just found somethig broken in half. Its got nipples on it and has two vac lines thats runs off of it. And what your describing would make sense that this is it. And i looked up pictures and it is called a thermal vac switch. Ive already ordered it and im 90% sure thats it. Thanks for your help! You guys rock
