flooding in first gear

Engine: 350 sbc vortec heads
Transmission: bw wc t5
Axle/Gears: posi
flooding in first gear

I have a 350 with vortec heads and an edelbroc 600 carb fuel pressure is 6.5 psi. It floods and dies when i dump the clutch in first. After first i can go wot with no issues

What shape is the carb in?
Have you checked the floats or needle seats?
Have you attempted to tune the carb in any way?
How do you know it is flooding?
Does it die when you don't dump the clutch?
