Fuel pump outlet fitting

Can I use this on a 400 SB, which has a Carter M6626 pump? The fuel pump outlet is quite close to my radiator hose.

Its from Mcmaster-carr,

Supported 45 Degree Brass Flared Tube Fitting, 90 Degree Elbow for 3/8" Tube OD x 3/8 NPTF Male, part number 6432T129.

What I would prefer is the same thing in a 45 degree fitting, or maybe a few suggestions.

I used an Edelmann 251660—Transmission Oil Line Coolant Adapter - 3/8 Inch Tube Size x 3/8 Inch (5/8-18) Male Inverted Flare x 4 1/2 Inch Length. I bent it to 90 degrees, but you could, of course, bend one to whatever angle you desire. I purchased at O'Reilly's.

Re: Fuel pump outlet fitting

Go to your local parts store like auto zone and ask to look through the fittings and adapters. The keep them in about a chest high metal shelf with pull out slide drawers, behind the counter and off to the side.

You will find the 90* like you pictured and a 45* like you want
