Fuel sending unit help

Sirs,
Does anyone know how to get a new fuel sending unit for my 86 Pontiac Firebird vin code H 305 Quadrajet? The gm part # was 25090908. The dealer discontinued the part. You can only get the sending unit in the fuel injected cars now.

Heres one...

It appears this one is for FI, but IIRC, you can easily make it work as you only need the sender portion. Someone correct me if im wrong, but I dont think so...

Re: Fuel sending unit help

Both of the ones linked above are for the electric fuel pump in tank.. If your running only a mechanical block or external pump, you'll have to extend the pickup tube down to where the in tank pump woud have sucked fuel from..
