Wanting to switch from edelbrock 2701 to spread bore intake

I am looking to switch back to a non CC Q-jet on my 84 to get a factory looking set up and so my HO dual snorkel air cleaner set up fits correctly. My question is what is a good intake to switch to that will accept my Q-jet "spread bore" carb and not lose performance.

Edelbrock performer non EGR with a spreadbore pattern would be my pick

I'm running the 3701, the Performer EGR, and it doesn't have the neat waffle pattern under the carb. If you want to change intakes, this is the one for keeping EGR, but if you don't need EGR, I'd encourage finding something with some sort of waffle texture under the carb. That is the only reason the EPS makes the extra torque over the Performer.
The only other EGR intake still available new is the GMPP one that came on the ZZ4. It's the exact same casting as the 3701, except with a bowtie in place of the Edelbrock name. I've had one. Guess who casted the GM version? Yep, Edelbrock. I just go with whichever one is cheaper.

That's made by Weiand (it's the Street Warrior line) and it's a good intake. I've used a couple of them.
