Cleaning up fuel system what to do with elec pump and vapor line
I have a SBC in my car, mechanical fuel pump with holley carb. I just removed the in tank electric pump, put a piece of 3/8 pipe with new sock in its place.
What is the proper thing to do with the vapor canister line. I think i cut it off and its wide open in the tranny tunnel somewhere if I can remember right.
It seems I've always had a gas smell in the garage when car is parked for a long time.
What is the best thing to do with this line, some say plug it, some say put a filter on it.
what about plugging it and getting a vented gas cap, looking for simple and effective here.

I believe there are short hose connections on all lines above rear axle on drivers side. You probably can ID the lines and make a cap for vent line at that location. My 84 carbed Z 28 has these lines at that location ....not sure on yours....but you could at least take a look. Good Luck.
