new installation Mikuni VM 26 leaking fuel from bottom drain/vent line
Recently installed a new Mikuni VM-26 carburetor on my 125cc street bike. I i'm having continuous trouble with fuel flowing out of the bottom pink drain line. My first thought was, the needle is not sitting correctly… So I adjusted the needle to its lowest position, meaning put the locking washer to the highest notch. The fuel is still leaking from the drain line continuously. I have tried using different combinations of idle screw and mixture screw settings, but I've not had any success at getting the leak to stop. Be possible that my throttle cable is just too short? I'm using the stock cable that came with the bike. It is all the way adjusted to it's shortest length. I've also read some places that this leaking symptom could be a result of the float not functioning correctly. Any suggestions ??! Should I disconnect the throttle cable from the hand grip and see if the needle seats?

On those carbs there is usually a screw that closes off the bowl drain when it's tightened and allows it to drain when it's loose; is that screw not tight or missing?
