e4mc idle issues please help!
hey guys ive got a 1984 trans am lg4 that ive been having idle issues with so I rebuilt the carb to no real effect (fixed several issues inside the carb but did not effect the idle) anyway the idle is erratic between 1000 and 1500 if I attempt to set it below a grand it just dies its throwing code 13 for 02 sensor and running really lean I know this because when I manually close the choke with my hand it revs and its also throwing code 44 (lean condition) I wouldn't think an 02 sensor could cause all of this
so any ideas yalls help will be greatly appreciated

Sounds like a fuel delivery problem... especially if it runs poorly when driving, and won't sustain full power output (or even anywhere close) for more than a few seconds.
Did you replace the fuel filter? How much fuel is in the bowl?
Incidentally, that carb's model # should be E4ME (electric choke), not E4MC. Don't know that there ever was such a thing as E4MC.
