Idle issues
So I recently replaced the TPS and accelerator pump in the carburetor of my 87 Formula 305.
The car, which had sat for 13 years from the previous owner, now starts up every time.
The problem I am having now is that it idles fine in park, but is rough in drive or reverse.
I have already replaced the fuel pumps, spark plugs/rotor/cap.
Any suggestions on what to check are greatly appreciated!

Re: Idle issues
Has new clean fuel and filter correct? Check for any vacuum leaks, including intake gaskets. Check and test all before replacing any parts. Check vacuum breaks on carb., for leaks and adjustments. Was there trash in fuel bowl when air horn was off?

Does it stay running or does it die?
Did you do a thorough rebuild of the carb after sitting that long? Probably all gummed up inside.

I'd advise a thorough disassembly, inspection, cleaning, inspection, and rebuild. A carb that has sat around that long rarely just works again when only given minor attention.
