Dear all

First I would like to introduce myself. My Name is Atreju and I'm from Switzerland. I'm sorry for my englisch - sometime its a bit difficult to describe
"technical" problems in english.

I own a 1987 Chevrolet Caprice Classic Brougham LS with the 305 Chevy engine and the electrical Rochester 4bbl carburetor.

I own the car since 2 years and I changed almost everything because it was in really bad condition but I have still problems with the performance of the enginge and no one can tell me what the problem is.

I have the following issues:

- Rough idle, its very bad when hot
- when driving with constant speed (for example 50 miles/h), the engine "shakes" and jerks, as soon as i push the throttle a little bit, its gone and the engine runs fine
- The engine "swallows" when I stop the car and slightly push the throttle to move again. When I do a kickdown, everything is ok
- The engine also shakes and jerks in high rev and kickdown.

I changed:
- complete ignition include sparks, cable, distributor, ICM, ECM, ignition relay, detonation sensor
- Timing chain
- Carburetor to one from rockauto.com (rebuilt) but same model
- New electrical cables from battery to car
- new AGR
- new fuel pump
- new map sensor
- new thermostat

and thousands of other things but I think nothing to do with my problems.


Do you have an idea how to fix my problems? I dont know if its an ignition issue (but everyhing is new - changed it 2 times!) or a carburetor issue (but the carburetor is also new..)
