I have the 750 Speed Demon with mechanical secondaries.I got it thru Jeg's for $430 but they no longer carry Demon products. What is your combo so that we can better recommend CFM and mech or vacuum secondaries.Be specific about what you have and plan to do with the car.Street/strip or just a street toy, etc? As much info you can give will help us help you.I beleive http://www.summitracing.com carries them.

I am planning on a street toy.

I am still wondering what my combo should be. I have a 350 in my garage. I had a 383,but sold it becuause I got an awesome deal. I plan on something less exotic like a nice 355. This time I plan on building the 355 myself and a experienced friend.

Maybe I should ask like what should I do to the block. It needs cleaning. Its from a 94 Chevy 3500 truck.

So mechanical or vacuume? which would yall prefer?

Thanks.

Get the block cleaned along with the rods and crank, have their bearing surfaces checked, maybe have some new pistons put on(I recommend forged),bore the block if needed to go with the new pistons.Just make sure you go to a reputable machine shop for the work, ask around the local speed shops who they recommend, usually the best source.Depending on what your combo is will help you decide on a CFM rating for the carb, and I generally run mechanical secondaries on standard tranny and vacuum secondaries on autos, that is my choice, but that doesnt mean it can be vice versa.Ask alot of questions, even if they seem stupid, you'll get alot of useful info.

HAhAHA!!!! Well, I didn't actually mean that. I was trying to say that I and an "expierenced" friend would build the motor. The problem is that he is a Ford guy. But he has nothing against GM motors or "bowties". Actually he has a high performance 351W and a normal 352 FE.

BTW..onebad82z, Thanks for the tips. I might just do that this weekend., there are lots of machine shops in Houston. but speed shops scare me because I fear that they be hooked up with the fellow car thiefs.
