87 camero 305 with the factory rochester ccc quad.
I put a new needle and seat in. New gasket. Set float height. Slapped it on cranked it over and she fired up. Untill fuel poured out from the top of the carb... I've messed with float heights for 3 days. Two needles and seats. What on earth am I doing wrong here??????? Only thing I can think of is I replaced the pusher pump and it's just throwing to much fuel and overriding the needle but it goes through a mechanical pump too so I can't see it being that.
Just for clarification too. The needle and seat is clear of any crud. With the top off I can blow into the fuel inlet and pickup the float and sometimes it does and sometimes it doesn't seal.

Fuel pressure should be 5.5 psi MAX.
just to check, make sure there is only one gasket under the seat. sometimes the old one gets 'stuck' in there and isn't seen
other than that, post a pic of the needle seat/float assembly installed.
