Swapping carb

I am wanting to get a new carb. I just don’t know what all I’m going to need for this. Any suggestions for a carb as well.

Re: Swapping carb

I'm guessing that's a Quadrajet four barrel with electronic controlled mixture? Best bet would be to get the old one rebuilt since it has the attachments and internal mixture jetting correct for the motor.

Re: Swapping carb

I started down this same road 20 years or so ago. Long story short, an engine swap turned out to be easier than dealing with all of the idiosyncrasies of the LG4 and computer controlled quadrajet. I am finally happy (ish) with a generic 350 build and have stopped throwing wrenches at rochester carbs. My power is way up, and I still get between 18 and 20 MPG on the highway, yours may (will) vary.
