QuadraJet Rebuild Kits?
QuadraJet Rebuild Kits?
OK, I'm thinking of rebuilding my QuadraJet myself (And it does need it). Is there a place where I could get a kit that would include all necessary parts? How much would this cost?
Would I be better off just buying a new carb?

You should be able to get a kit from most any parts store. Take the carb number in when you go looking for it (located on the driver's side rear corner of the carb).
The kit will include gaskets, rubber parts like float needle (and seat) and small seals; stuff needed to take the carb apart, clean it, and put it back together. It will not include things like float, TPS, MCS, choke thermostat or pull-off - things that can go bad. Those things will cost you extra. But, unless ALL of them are bad, you aren't going to be better off cost-wise getting a complete rebuilt carb.

the rebuild kits are under 30 bucks if i remember..
One thing.. get the float, and get the brass one.. the black plastic ones tend to leak, and the float fills with gas, and no longer floats.
for the lil extra money it's probalby a good idea to get the tps, and mcs.. but if you don't.. no biggie, they generally don't go bad too often.
One other tip, when you've got it cleaned up the bowl plugs tend to leak. take some nail polish, and coat them, they will never leak.

An M4ME rebuild kit should be about $70 from NAPA, Auto Value, or Part Source.
