Carter carbs

Have any of you used Carter carbs. Any bad things to say about 'em. Whats the difference between the Carter and Edelbrock 600cfm carbs.

There's no difference between a new Carter AFB and an Edelbrock Performer. They're both made by Weber now.

I've had mine for 6 years and i've never really had a problem with it,I'm pretty happy with mine.

Transmission: TH400 with brake, 8" PTC converter

Axle/Gears: moser 9" 4.11

i have a 750 carter and i'm very happy with it. I bought it used from my old boss for $100 with a complete jet kit for it. I think that it is overall a great carb for the money i paid.

Carters

I just bought a new 750cfm AFB from Jegs. Man, for $205 you can't go wrong!! My friend had a Carter on his 440 Charger, and it seemed like it was really good all-around carb. Granted, you give up a couple ponies over a well tuned Holley, but I'd rather have a carb that I don't have to dink with all the time.
