Timing question?
Hey got the TBI off and the Carb On (street Avenger 770) what would be a good base timing for my car.
Thanks

You did change the distributer too...right?
Assuming you did the best way to set timing is by total and not base. Get a dial back light, timing tape, degreed balancer, degreed cover, etc. have a friend rev it up and set it by the most advanced point. 35 degrees is pretty typical to start with..all in by 3000 rpm, then you can tune it from there.
Usualy works out to somewhere in the mid teens base...but it will vary from one spring/wieght set to the next.

Yes I used the proform HEI with MSD 6AL. I have it about 10* now and it just does not feel as strong as it did with the TBI.
