500cfm-750cfm
i have a carter 500cm on my car now, (lg4, 10-1 comp, summit polished center manifold(for idle-5500rpm) 467, 467 lift and 222* by 222* duration, a 48000 volt coil and i also have a 3" catback with no converter, 1800 stall converter, th 350 trans, and a 2.73 open rear) how much could i expect to gain from a 750 carter? i have a 750 eldebrock in the garage from my dads boat, i could try, but since it has no vacuumes i would have to rig it from behind the center manifold. what would you expect my quarter mile times to be? hp? thanks for your time

Actually, the 500 is about right. I realize you have more cam than stock, but with stock heads and stock manifolds (you don't say anything about headers or high flow cat), you aren't going to breathe heavy enough to require a larger carb. In fact, it could slow you down.

i have a 3" catback with no converter, the cams big enough to compensate for the 1.6 exhaust valves on the ho heads, i drove it home from school today and it had a miss, so i changed carbs (to my dads 750( im "borrowing it for a week") it sounds better, but it still has a low rpm miss, i think a have a ad plug, ill go through them after dinner. thanks for your reply
