Lokar, kickdown cable???HELP

I have recently done the tbi to carb swap and while everything is great so far my tranny is shifting odly. I have adjusted the tv cable and all i get is eighter high hard swifts or wimpy slow shifts that never let the rev go up when at wot. It seems my "pepboys" universal linkage is not right for this. It looks like its not getting enough travel. What have you guys done to correct this problem, which braket etc, can i get one of an lg4? that will work on a performer rpm manifold and edelbrock carb. I called lokar and they said i not only needed thier linkage but thier tv cable and lord knows what else. Can i just use the braket. Any help/tips would be greatly apreciated

Thanks!!!

What kind of carb did you get?

Notice on Duffster's pic there's a little extension on the throttle lever, that "amplifies" the motion avaialble to the amount of travel the 700 wants to see between idle and WOT... seems like it's supposed to be about 1-1/16" between the center of the throttle shaft and the center of the pin where the cable hooks up. Any less than that and you will either be able to get WOT to shift right but it will wind forever at light throttle, or you can get part throttle to work right but it will be mushy at heavier throttle, until the first time you floor it at which time it will revert to the above condition. Depending on what carb you got, there may or may not be the right piece made to fit it.
