Computer-controlled carbs
According to David Shelby's book, Camaro Performance Handbook: Performance Modifications for 1982-1992 Camaros, Holley once made a carb with vacuum secondary operation and it retained full computer control (part # 0-80073). Does anyone know anything about this carb? Is it still available?

The 5.0 used a special Holley carb but can't say for sure if it was EVER used on the Z, or if it had, in fact, true computer control like the e-QJet did. There was some question on this subject a while back. The net net of the whole go-around was: If Holley DID ever make a computer controlled QJet replacement they were only around for a short time and damned few of them were made. Today, for sure, you can't buy anything like that.

It never did come on any f-body, but in Shelby's book, he made reference to a computer compatible holley that "could" be used on f-bodies

At one time, very early in the computer-controlled era, Holley did make a carb that was. IIRC it was one of the "Economaster" series (do they even still have that anymore?) and was not really a performance piece at all. It seems like they made a computer that went with it but I don't remember whether it would work with a OE ECM.
