New here saying hello

gotta say hello here too because I love carburetors,
sorry for the duplicate post.

I give your site a big thumbs up. I was recomended to check this out by a friend of a friend of my third cousins sister/wife.
My home site is a streetracing ez-board recently started by a friend of mine.
I am from Belleville Illinoizz just east of E. St. Louis. Have been fiddling with cars and drag racing since around 1989-90. I'm about to turn 35 and I aspire to start my own performance related business soon.
I may know a couple people on here as I've raced frequently in St Charles and South County in the past and met other people through mutual friends. The GMNIGHTMARE sounds really familiar like a red stang I knew of that went to Gateway and around South County. That white mustang in the pic is a fine looking car and I must admit that I also have a white stang in my garage too. It is an 85GT with the requisite weld-draglites and cowl-hood just like a bazillion others. Last time I ran that one down gateway was in 1996 and it went an 11.0 @124 on the first pass which got the techies attention as it was pretty much held together with duct-tape back then. It has a 351C and C4 (no stall) and 3.27:1 rear plus some street tires. It later had some uuuh piston (TRW) problems.
My camaro started out with a 305TPI that ran 16.3 @80 stock. I worked with the TPI for about 6 years and barely got it in the elevens with a 100hp shot of crack. Thankfully I gave up on the whole EFI-computer scene and learnt myself how to tune with a screwdriver instead of a laptop. Once I got the carburetor on there the car has never run better in every aspect. Now I have a major interest in doing carburetor/intake modifications and so far they have worked super.
Anyway enough of my history. I'd like to join your gang and contribute to laying the smack down on some of the smaller more sickly clubs in the area.
So if you'd like to have me around for b.s. or techy talk, or whatever then let me know, but please no group hugs or anything!
man this site is big... off to read more posts.
