Do both use the same jets and rods? It seems like the Carter kit has more in it then Edelbrocks. How about the rebuild/gaskets kits?

from what i have seen and heard the only difference between the carter and edelbrock carbs is the carter uses metal bushings on the throttle shafts so i'm assuming the jets and rods are the same.

Yes they are the same, I have one of each. There are twice as many rods and jets in the Carter kit as compared to the Edelbrock kit and the Carter setup is a little cheaper.

i think the accelerator pump is a different size. my buddy had a carter and an edelbrock apart, and had a kit for one and was gonna use it for the other, which one i dont remember, but I think he said the diameter of the accelerator pump was different, and that you couldnt use the the same kit for both carbs, i could be wrong though. its been a while. lil jay
