Holley

So does anybody have any thoughts on the new Holley Street Avenger Carb. It seems like it has addressed a lot of the concerns people had about Holley's in the past.

Yeah, I wish I could trade my barely used 3310(750cfm VS) in for a 670cfm Avenger. Looks like similar features to the Road Demon which I didn't get because it is only 625cfm. My carb is working quite well but I think the Avenger would improve my throttle response.

me and my buddie think is a freakin rip of. its still a same old holley. i mean the flots are always pre adjusted from the fasctory. always come with a seconday fuel filter but every on take them out anyways. since 92 holleys have had power valve blow out prtection. the only think good aboot it is that it has quick change springs and lots of vacum ports. its still just the same old holley carb most of have. oh and the sight plugs can be bought from holley or moroso. just MY two cents

I hope the new avenger carbs are good. I just ordered one today and it will be here in a couple weeks. the car is away for the winter so it will be a couple months before i can tell you what i think about it and how it performs. Oh yea and the are alot more $$$, so i guess i'll see if it was worth it.

I bought one cause my Edelbrock kept giveing me fit's. First It's not ready to run right
out of the box.I had to change the Vac. Sec. spring to help with the throttle response.Second it cost me $380.00 w/tax locally.I could have bought a regular vac.sec. Holley carb and then bought a quick
change vac. sec.kit,Clear fuel bowl plugs and basically had the same carb for less money.I like the carb but don't think it was
worth the money.Mine is the 670 model.
Also the float level is not pre set.Mine was
rite for the front bowl but above the clear
site plug in the rear bowl and I can't get it to go down for $hit.Plus the electric choke is acting up.Better than a Edelbrock but not worth the money. I'm looking to trade it for a 650 dbl.pmpr.
