Who makes a bonnet/hat for a holley carb?

I'll need one for my carb turbo project. I know turbo city offers one..but they want $60 which seems kinda high for an elbow with a bolt hole. I've heard Paxton makes one..but they want even more $$$.

Any suggestions?

I'd pay the $60. Believe me, it's only a drop in the bucket compared to how much you're about to spend to put a hair dryer on a carb motor.

beware of what you buy jester. you get what you pay for. carb hat is pretty critical in a blow thru carb setup. we've tested a few different ones with noticable performance differences. we still have a little more testing to do though. i'll keep you posted if your interested. kevin.

talk to my friend mike.
take a look at what he's done. They have a holley with blowthrough turbo.

The bonnets are not cheap.

i've seen your friends'web site.his car hauls a**. just so happens he's got one of the worst air hats though. he's got even more power in that system without having to turn up the boost any higher.

Thanks for the input. I'd really look forward to seeing your results kevin, altho if one is $60 and the other is $200 I might not care if it's worth 5 extra ponies

if your serious about doing this type setup be prepared for what's about to happen. if it's anything like what we've experienced so far it will totaly change your way of thinking when it comes to building fast and truly streetable hotrods.(without going broke!!!) the bonnet will probably be one of the last things bought so i'll let you know what we come up with in the mean time.
