Anyone else have Holley eletric choke problems?

Well, this is my second brand new holley carb (other one got stolen) in 6 months. Both had a very very very annoying high idle problem. The first one I had during the summer the high idle would sometimes kick in if it was raining out, and all the sudden I'd find myself at a stop sign idling at 2000 rpm with the engine at 190 degrees. That carb never saw any winter before I was 'lost'. Now, the new one also has a choke problem when it's most out. I haven't figured it out yet though. Instead of having an idle increase/stability when it is raining outside while the engine is warming up instead of gaining in RPMs as the choke plate should open (no time to investigate this yet because it's not high on my list to stand in the pouring rain and play with the carb) the rpms start dropping, a light afterfire starts to occur and if I don't hold my foot on the pedal, it will just die out. Once I kick it down there is no miss/afterfire (even if I rev it back to high idle rpms) which leads me away from an ignition problem and to a rich problem.

Anyone else have these type of expierences?

You can "adjust" the choke to fix that. What I'm talking about is full warm operation when raining, the high idle will kick in from time to time.
