2 carb questions

First on my '85 the other day I was driving and I let off the gas but the throttle stuck where it was with my foot off the gas until I hit it again then it was fine.

Second this is not thirdgen but simmilar problem on my '77. Car runs fine until it warms up then it does the same thing with the throttle sticking or whatever. Let off the gas but it is still going the same rpm. However when I put the brake on it will bog and surge a few seconds and die. I have to wait a few minutes and it will run a few miles and do the same thing.

Both are stock q-jets the '85 is a L69 and the '77 is a Pontiac 400..

THANKS!!!

Get some carb cleaner and clean all of the linkages real well. Make sure your throttle return springs are working right, replace them if you need to or add a backup spring to ensure the butterflies close when you let off the gas.

Do exactly what was said above an dalso make sure your gas pedal is not hitting the floor mat and sticking, make sure that your springs are not broken...
