The factory V8 carb line runs along the driver side frame rail up to the tranny tunnel, up and over the tranny with a clamp in the center of the tunnel a few inches back of the firewall, then along the passenger frame rail to the mechanical fuel pump. Your car very likely doesn't have the stud for the tunnel clamp (my V6 car didn't).
Not sure how you've handled the fuel pump, but if you haven't removed the in-tank pump and are willing to rewire it properly, just run the line from where the TBI hard line ends to a 3-port regulator, with the pressure port going to the carb and the return port going to the return line. Block off the mechanical fuel pump boss with a plate. You'll need a 180 elbow at the carb, but that's a lot simplier than routing a line to the other side of the engine compartment to a mechanical pump.

thanks, right now i have the regulator on the driver side where the fuel lines come out from the bottom, then i ran a fuel hose from that to the regulator, and sorta across the top of the motor(kinda sucks)though i haven't got any "vapor lock"(knock on wood)I have to eventually run a metal line, like soon.
