Stalling what would cause

Ok.. i was at a light and figures when the light turns green my car stalls.. well i got help and pushed it into a parking lot, opened the hood and took a quick look. Well i tried to start it and it sounded like i had a dead battery or something, but thats brand new, and so is the alternator. after a couple mins of waiting it started no problem. Well I got goin again and as I was driving it stalled agian, but the RPM's didn't drop they went down slowly. Everytime I tried to start it my oil pressure gauge would raise all the way to the top (60). The fuel pump is also brand new.. could it be bad gas, or maybe the fuel filter, or what are some other possibilites?

If you have a carbeutor the problem could be with it. My old Rochester q-jet did that too me a couple of times right before it died for good.

I had problems with a fuel filter in my Q-Jet, but it wouldn't just do it at the light when stopped...it was usually when you were putting more gas through the system at higher speeds that you noticed the problem, although it did the same thing (dying and stalling). Most likely carb or fuel system problem. The Oil pressure gauge pegs out on mine at 60 when you're cranking the starter for more than a second or two.
