COMPLAINT INFORMATION:

Complaint #: 1482627
Complaint Type: General Complaint (not a car maker)
Date Received: 5/4/2004
Primary Complaint Classification: Delivery Issues
Secondary Complaint Classification: Service Issues
Complaint:
After the order was placed on 30 March 04, the charge was posted 31 March 04. It was supposed to take 5-7 business days for delivery. On April 20th, delivery still had not been made, and there was no contact, verbal or otherwise from MacEwen. Phone Calls and emails went unanswered up to 20 April 04. On that day, it was said that the items would be delivered express mail, in 2 days. As of 03 May 04, they have yet to be delivered. Company was contacted, Mr MacEwen assured me that the product would again be delivered in 2 days. Then the phone disconnected. Never got back in contact with Mr. MacEwen after 7 consecutive phone calls. Sent the following email:

"I was speaking to you today reference an order that was placed on the 30th of March that has yet to be received. We got disconnected, and after calling you back 7 times straight with no response, I have to assume you had no intention of delivering said items. I am advising the original purchaser to contact his credit card company and get the charges reversed on this obviously fraudulent purchase. You were recommended by thirdgen.org, and I am sorry to say that I will be letting them know EXACTLY how this transaction went, and warning them against future purchases from your company.

This was Mr. MacEwen's Response:

"Take a pill jackass.

to hell with the better business bureau. i dealt with them when a local garage did well over 1k in damage to my iroc. they are just a middle man in your complaint. they are there to "talk" the company into settling the problem. contact the Consumer Protection Agency. they are run by the state, at least that's what i was told. and i have heard and seen good things come out dealing with them. i wish i would have known that before i went to the better business bull****. try it out, maybe he'll actually get into some legal trouble.
