Beware of tpi-hearse / zerokill78 (banned)

Just thought I would let everyone know to watch out for TPI-HEARSE. He has scammed quite a few people here in the past under the name ZeroKill78.

He is from Windsor, CT and often sells parts here on this website.

He was banned as a user under the name ZeroKill78 and is now using the name TPI-Hearse.

You wanna give a little more info then that? I searched through ZeroKill78's posts and didn't see any signs of him scamming anyone (I just skimmed, though). "Bull" seems to have met him and had dealings with him, along with some other members.

Fred (TPI-Hearse) is a great seller. Who are you with 0 posts? You have no credability at this point.

Re: Beware of tpi-hearse / zerokill78 (banned)

The poster who started this thread is obviously a troll.

As Fred said, you can check his eBay feedback and see he has close to 100% positive after years of activity.

I bought three cars from him and tons of parts. Lots of other people have, too.

As for the TGO thread that kurf posted, I'd take it with a shaker of salt. The people who were complaining got banned themselves. And, even good sellers can get negative responses from time to time.

So explain to everyone why you were banned from TGO and just created a new user name as tpi-hearse?

Hey, 3rdgenfanatic, I believe that the rules of TGO state that unless you have a specific transaction with a person, you cannot post negatively about them as a buyer/seller. So far, you've just blown a lot of vague hot air. I'd suggest that if you had a specific transaction with tpi-hearse, then you make mention of the details. Otherwise, I'm going to suggest that the mods close this down.

Re: Beware of tpi-hearse / zerokill78 (banned)

Bull - many of us have seen you blow smoke up fred's **** on New England Motorsports as well as here. It's unfortunate that you can not put two and two together. Are you ok with Fred sticking you hard with a 92 Formula, with a 6spd with well over 200k miles that he rolled the odometer on? Yes, I am talking about the black one that had the tranny fixed on. Of course you bought it and it ran great. After the 6spd was dropped in 3 years prior when the car had 170k on it and they never put the digital box in. That kid that had it was driving 15k a year just to work.

Fred - We all would love to know why you re-registered yourself as TPI-Hearse after you were banned as ZeroKill78. While we are at it I was never banned from TGO. I use this site as a resource, not a place to scam people.

Best of luck to anyone who deals with this scammer. I'd suggest not buying anything from him at Stafford Motor Speedway either. You will see him selling fake leather jackets out of the back of his black Ford F-Series.

Re: Beware of tpi-hearse / zerokill78 (banned)

3rdgenfanatic, it's sad that you think you know so much about other people's stuff, when you really know so little. For your information, the '92 Formula that I bought from Fred is red, auto, and has been a daily driver with no mechanical issues for two years now. I never bought a 6 speed '92 Formula from Fred. Sorry. I also bought a green '95 Formula from Fred that has been a daily driver since October...runs great, thanks.

Also, you misused the "blow smoke" term. I know what you meant, but to blow smoke up someone's butt is to give them a fake or insincere compliment in the hopes of deceiving them, which is not what you meant of course.

Anyway, you've proven that you think you know about other peoples' transactions with Fred, but haven't said anything about any you've had, so you have zero legitimacy here.

But let's keep going back and forth with this garbage, it will hopefully just get the thread killed sooner.

Let's see if I can shed some light on some wrongdoing here. I thought I recognized the name in this thread. Zerokill78 sold me a set of lower rear seats back in February, which I paid for using PayPal through eBay. About a month later, I got charged AGAIN for the same set of seats I had already received. My bank statements are all the proof I need of this. It wasn't a bank error and somehow PayPal has no idea where the second charge came from. Care to explain, TPI-hearse?

Re: Beware of tpi-hearse / zerokill78 (banned)

You can't just break into someone's PayPal account and initiate a charge. It doesn't work that way unless you are a hacker. Fred is not a hacker.

PayPal can't just have "no idea" what happened. They control the accounts, so they'd have to know how the second transaction took place. I'd hold their feet to the fire, if I were you.

I DID have someone hack into my account and steal my balance once. PayPal took care of it, after locking down my account for a while to be safe.

This guy has been selling stuff on here for a while with little problems.

Theres 2 types of rip off's.
1.people who take money and dont send a product.
2.People who sell old stuff and say its new.

Then theres the buyers that expect a USED part to be new then slander a good sellers name after buying the USED Item.

That sounds like the case here.

OK, I have to throw something into the mix as well.

I have talked with Fred through PM on a couple of occasions, and finally met him to pick up a '92 Camaro shop manual I had posted in the WTB section. Don't know what to say, he said it was "like new", and it was at LEAST that well taken care of. Didn't strike me as a scammer...

As far as Paypal, I agree, there is no way that he could gain access to your account and get money again. Either someone hacked into your account, or somehow got your ID/password. Happened to my MIL, but she responded to spam and put in her info

Good luck!

I have dealt with Fred on a few occasions and he has always been a straight up guy. Remember these cars are anywhere from 15 to 25 years old and used parts are going to have normal wear. Expectations have to be reasonable when buying used parts, used doesnt mean new.

I got charged AGAIN for the same set of seats I had already received.

Sounds like They might have had to pull $$ from your "back-up" account to cover the $$ that was not in your primary account.

You should be dealing with Pay Pal on this. Not accusing the seller of wrong-doing. Notifying the seller is one thing - that's not how you came off. If I could just pull $$ from people's PayPal account 'at will' than I would be typing this message from the Bahamas under a palm tree right now.

Since you have decided to use this forum to address the "duplicate" charge you should ( at the VERY least ) inform this board once the problem is resolved. An apology should be forthdooming shortly after that.

As for the original poster regarding TPI Hearse; As others have already said, Put up or shut up.

Re: Beware of tpi-hearse / zerokill78 (banned)

Banned? I don't think so. If I had a way to hook up my scanner (and my paperwork as well) out here, I'd show you scans of my bank statements. Like I already said, I talked to PayPal about this and they have no idea where the second charge came from, but the bank says what it says. I got hit in both Feb and March (or March and April, I can't see the paperwork from 350 miles away) for those lower rear two-tone gray seats. NOT TO MENTION I EMAILED THE SELLER ABOUT THIS AT THE TIME! I had plenty of money in my checking account to cover the original charge, so why did I get hit a second time?

But, whatever. I figure that I'm not going to get that money back, any more than I am going to get my $70 back from 69charger383 for the 2.8 plenum+TB set I paid for LAST YEAR (that I have NOT received nor heard any word from him since)...

:edit: Forgot to mention one thing. Those supposedly CLEAN seats had a nice black spot of heavy grease on them when I took them out of the box (I had just gotten home from work as a DISHWASHER, so I KNOW my hands were clean, so don't complain about that now). There is NOTHING that will get that grease out short of reupholstering the seats.

tpi-hearse is the best, i have bought plenty from him, and will continue to do so in the future. nothing was ever wrong with what i got. iv picked everything up at his house, picked and chose alittle which i sugggest you do if your close. remember your dealing with used parts!!!! his prices are fair and his stuff is good . i tell all my friends about him and send a few to him.
thats my 2 cents

Re: Beware of tpi-hearse / zerokill78 (banned)

I have dealt with Fred thru Ebay on a couple of occasions. The deals went well and the parts were as advertised. As mentioned you need to cite specific transactions that may or may not have not gone well.

On Paypal I will add that I recently used thier resolution process.I paid for an item won on Ebay the same day the auction closed.Over a week went by with no part or notification of ship.I messaged the seller and they said it would ship next day.A week later I received the Paypal notification that USPS had been notified of shipment.Another week goes by and I email the seller with now response. After 6 weeks, and 2 more emails,I started a dispute thru Paypal. They act as mediator unless you escalate to a claim which I did after a week of not getting any response from seller.Paypal investigated and refunded the money to me because the seller didn't provide proof the item had been shipped.Paypal,as does Ebay and your Bank, have processes in place to resolve disputes if you can't yourself.

ya know if you hate him so much then you should have come up with a case because he is coming out of this smelling like a rose And it is just advertising him to everyone. You are in this to really help him sell stuff aren't you? That's my bet. You are just saying stuff to keep this thread alive, probably a friend helping sales. That's my conspiracy theory for the day. lol!

Re: Beware of tpi-hearse / zerokill78 (banned)

I bought 2 Sets of Manual Pedals from Fred on ebay. One didnt fit my application. but that was my fault. I could have seen it on the pictures he postet.
They pedals were just like described..good...but not new. jesus those parts are all very old...what do some guys expect? NOS parts or what?

I live in europe and shipping was very fast. And they were well packaged!
I have no complains whatsoever about dealing with zerokill78!
Would buy again from him!

I love the direction that this thread has gone in.

It looks like the original poster hasn't been on this site since June of '07, nine days after posting this garbage.

Must have decided to leave when everyone came out of the woodwork to support Fred lol.

Had a deal with tpi-hearse and it went real well, bought a set of v8 engine brackets from him and the whole deal was done and complete and in my hands in less than a week and i was very satisfied with the items i bought and the time they were received by me from him. And I will have no problems with buying from him in future. Thank You Fred for the fast shipping.

I bought from TPI-Hearse, and had absolutly no problems what so ever. I bought a dual fan setup from him and everything was super smooth. I would definatly buy from him again, prices were extremly fair, and shipping was very quick.

Re: Beware of tpi-hearse / zerokill78 (banned)

Wow..just wow to any of the above comments speaking badly of Fred. Ive dealt with him in the past on a number of occasions and he has taken the time to help me out with a few things too. Not only that i bought my IROC from him and it was everything he said it was. He is not a crook or a scam artist. He is a stand up guy. In fact im in the mist of another transaction with him at this moment..probably not the last as well knowing my spending on my car...and the rate at which Fred gets new and interesting stuff for me to buy . So anyone saying bad of Fred give it a rest already. People who deal with him know what type of guy he is.
