Has anyone here shipped a car???
I am considering buying a 3rd Gen, but it is 2000 miles away and would have to ship it to my house. Does anyone have any experience with buying a car and having a car hauling company pick it up right from the seller??? Please share any pros/cons, success/horror stories. Thanks!

i had a 93 GMC 1500, pick-up truck sent from new jersey to florida about 3 years ago. it cost me $400.oo. i thought it was a great price. woulda cost me more in gas? i spent some time calling around for the best price. the reason i got a good price was, they asked me if i was in a hurry. i told them no. 2 weeks later my truck was here. i guess when they have an open spot on the truck/trailer, they would rather get a full load? ill try and dig up theyre number if you cant find a similar deal. i gotta find it anyway as im bringing my 72 chevelle down here this year hopefully. this is where its probably gonna cost more, as its been sitting for many years. it has to be able to start and drive up on the trailer for a cheaper price. all the best with your ride! Make sure the seller is diligent. Drove next to a car hauler in Arizona who was towing a really nice GTA (one of a few cars) where the windows were all down. Did I mention when I was driving next to him it was pouring rain?
