Why rare? Perhaps the one year-only of mass air and no cold start injector? Just a thought. I

I suppose... in addition to what you said. N10 Dual cats.
When I replaced my injectors 10-15 years ago, my car ran terrible on replacement 19's. Then I went to 21's, with an aftermarket SLP prom, and it runs great. BLM's are still high, but I speculate the 305 motor, N10 cats, came with 22 lb injectors. People disagree, but I have no other explanation.
