when these cars were converted, was it on a individual basis i.e. you walked into the dealership and ordered one? did the dealerships order the cars as inventory and then sell them?did GM order them and then allot them? this may seem kinda dumb to ask but i looked in the archives and couldn't seem to find anything about this.does anyone know the answer to this? oh yeah, thanks for the convertibles forum, it was a great idea!

Some were customer ordered, some the dealer ordered and they sat on the lot. Nothing unusual there. Cant help ya on the GM ordering thing, but its possible too.
