How many verts were produced in 1989?? I have an 89 black iroc z and i was wondering as for numbers. I checked the vin and for the 6th digit it is a 3 so its a factory optioned convertible (or so i believe from skimming through these threads). any help would be greatly appreciated because if this vert is rare, which i hope it is, i will try to restore this thing as stock as it came off the showroom floor. thanks

It is only one of 3,940 made.........not really what you would classify as rare.but still nice to own

 

You had better check your own post there bud. That's only 396 made out of all models. Not 3900. I would say that is a very rare car.

I found the error of my ways...

I was looking on (of all places) the Camaro chart.

I did find 396 on the Firebird chart for Firebird convertibles in 1989.


BUT wait didn't he say he has a Black 89 IROC convertible....maybe I misread his initial post...let me go re-read it..............


No, I read it correctly. 89IROCCVRT specifically said he has an '89 Black IROC Convertible..


pgh-gta, maybe you need to go back and re-read his post...JUST a suggestion....don't have to if you don't want to......
