KITT topless

Anyone witness a Knightrider conversion to a droptop? I've been enjoying the DVD and will need the second season soon! hehe, it's great fun to see how funny this show was, way back in the day. Anyway, looking at Kitt, I can see the line where the top removed would really look slick!
Anyway, I am also happy to announce my TopsonLine/Vic's Upholstery ordered top should be on it's way out to me, but still not exactly sure on size, think it came out to around 51 inches, but that includes hem, etc. over the top rear bow... My fingers are crossed!!

BTW, how much for install do you guys think? What is involved for DIY installation? I'd love to get it done under $200, or even better yet, under $100!!

If you see any Net pics, post 'em. I also think it's funny to mention that David Hasselhoff always refers to KITT's electric operated t-top, escape mechanism/quick eject/boost James Bond device as the 'sunroof'. You wonder how car savvy he really is.

I think the humor shows just what today's shows lack, though it's still pretty simple, I see dialogue I'd never know as a kid, much less now used. It's pretty interesting. The downside is you can tell where and when they cheated an effect... worse example is the stock car footage going off a high cliff... Looks like that other demonic car film, where the vehicle was custom fabricated, looked more like a Lincoln then any Firebird!

Yeah, Mark's Custom kits has it...

It's not fair though...He took an 84 Autoform Conversion (a 2 seater) and did the conversion...I would have bought it from him w/o the KITT stuff...He also has another two seater for sale, but I don't have the 8k to buy it...

Although, it does make mine just one more rarer than before... :-P

Well, KITT did have the fancy TA Seats though, front and rear, and Michael used the backseat on one occasion to hide his presence while KITT took over. It's often funny to think of the adults who wanted to hear the car talk, only to find that was a post-production trick on the show!
haha
